His expertise also spans technical accounting (International Financial Reporting Standards and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles in the UK and US). Mohammed has worked with the top three global firms—KPMG, EY, and Deloitte—and has experience across various sectors, including banking (American, British, Japanese banks), and notable firms such as Goldman Sachs, HSBC, MUFG, and the Islamic Development Bank in the Middle East. He successfully identified and assessed key risks for clients in both the public and private sectors, reporting these to key stakeholders including risk owners (such as the Chief Risk Officer and Chief Financial Officer) and strategic management (Audit Committee and Board of Directors). He uncovered fraud totaling over $43 million and presented the audit findings to the executive committee of a bank in Saudi Arabia.
He delivered numerous timely and comprehensive annual audit plans to Audit Committees and senior management for projects exceeding $20 billion, adhering to budgetary and resource allocations. Additionally, he drafted high-quality audit, regulatory compliance, risk, and control reports that included standards, root-cause analyses, and impacts, in accordance with applied standards such as COSO, IPPF, and international professional frameworks.
